5. Try an over the counter product that contains salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide that is to be applied directly on the blemish. If you have sensitive skin, be careful not to apply too much because these ingredients dries up the skin and if that is the case, your skin will get irritated.

6. If you want to test home remedies, try applying a wet or used tea bag over the affected area. Tea has ingredients that soothe inflamed skin and has natural properties that help heal blemishes. You can also choose sliced lemon or tomato which when applied to pimples has the same effect as tea.

7. Wash your beddings at least every other week. Bacteria can get trapped in them and may cause breakouts when skin gets in contact with them.

8. Avoid constantly touching your face. If you can’t stop, at least wash your hands frequently.

9. Eat a nutritious meal consisting of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits. You may not be aware but most of the food you eat has a connection to how your skin reacts.
